I am interested in symbolic and emotional layers.
I investigate the energetic field surrounding bodies, using a more scientific approach rather than a mystical one.
During this research, I developed an immersive technique for photographing people, capturing the energies where deep feelings reside. In search of my own visual language, I produced images with opacity. Aesthetics interest me, but what fascinated me was their ability to create distance from the observer and stimulate reflection.
As I tried to show these emotions, I noticed they show up in layers, both in people and in the world. I realized it was necessary to bring these layers into physical and visible art. So, I mixed photography, painting, collage, projections, and audiovisual to create hybrid multisensory textures, diving into the world of Expanded Photography.
By blending these media and techniques, I challenge the limits between them. I use fabrics, paints, papers, movements, lights, pixels, and forms of assembly and presentation to deconstruct, filter, and create a new form of figuration.
I like to call my work a ‘project of mindset deconfiguration’ so that the eyes can see beyond the physical.
